David is currently the Director of the New Center for Collaborative Leadership at The Jewish Education Project (formerly the Board of Jewish Education of Greater New York-SAJES). David recently completed his Ph.D. Education and Jewish Studies at NYU focusing on the development of Jewish adolescent identity development and experiential Jewish Education. He is also a graduate of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship Program. Prior to moving to New York, David worked in formal and informal Jewish educational institutions in Australia, Israel, and North America. David completed his undergraduate and Masters in Education degrees in Melbourne, and is also a graduate of the Melton Senior Educators Program at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Pardes. In Australia he was the Director of Informal Jewish Education at a large Jewish day school, a Hillel Director, the Director of Birthright Israel in Australia and several other Israel experience programs. David lived in St. Louis for two years where he was the Director of the Central Agency’s Community Supplementary High School and Teen Initiative Programs. David is a graduate of Brandeis University’s Informal Jewish Education Leadership Seminar and Jewish Education Leadership Seminar. David has most recently worked for JEXNET, MAKOM and the Israel Caravan for Democracy as an Israel Educator, and is currently an educational consultant for the iCenter. In his spare time David also enjoys (sort of) running marathons.
